Hello my name is Antonio but you can tell me Toni, I prefer
this name. I’m from Spain but I’m
staying in a small city of Canada called Welland to improve my English. I think
that is a beautiful city but maybe it is so quiet, maybe too quiet. I'm
studying aeronautical engineering in the "Universidad politecnica" of
Valencia but the thing that I really love is playing soccer. I have played
since I was 4 years old, I have played in the team of my town, in the Valencia
CF and now, I'm playing at the team of a town near than mine. The next week I have
to begin to train but I will be in Canada so I’m going to miss to the first
week of train. As you can see in the picture below I play as goalkeeper.
But in this blog I’m going to talk about my holidays in Canada.
After two weeks in Canada I can tell you some trips that my friends and I have
done and some places that we have visited. For example, the first week we went
to St. Catherines. In St Catherines we could see the 10th Annual
Classic Car Show; we could see some old cars. But we went to the mall and we
could buy some souvenirs to our friends and our parents.
The next day, on Sunday we went to a BBQ in the church with
Leslie, we met a lot of Canadian people, it was a good opportunity to practice
our English and make new friends. We met a lot of kind people one of them, Neck
invited us to his home yesterday. We could swim in his swimming pool and we saw
a movie also. Neck is nice friend.
It was an amazing trip, but until now my favorite trip have
been the Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist. It was a wonderful trip, we visited
the Niagara Falls, I think that is the most beautiful place that I’ve never
seen. We could see the falls with a ship, so we had the opportunity of be very
close of them. It was very amazing.
And the last weekend we went to Toronto, but we only had one
day to visit the city so we looked for a bed and breakfast to have two days to
see the city. In Toronto we saw a baseball match and we visited some interesting
places like the CN tower, the air Canada center, etc.
But the most of the time we are on Welland, so we don’t have
many things to do, so we usually go out with some friends that we have. They
are three guys from Toronto but they are studying on Welland, so sometimes they
invite us to their home to play to the PS3. They are very friendly guys, so we
really enjoy the meetings with them at the same time that we learn more
English.
I will continue writing about my holidays the next week. See
you!
